This captivating house is just a moment away from the sea in the bustling little seaport of Amble. Unusually the sitting room is on the first floor to make the best of the stunning views, notably Warkworth castle to the rear of the property. Still on the first floor is the fitted kitchen and dining area. Up on the second floor is a sizeable games room with plenty to keep the family occupied. The four bedrooms are to found on the ground floor, as is the bathroom. The property is furnished traditionally and has a cosy welcoming feel. Outside is an enclosed, private courtyard with seating. This quirky property only a few minutes walk from the centre of Amble offers a good base for exploring the Northumbrian area.

The castle at Warkworth is also very well-preserved, while Bamburgh Castle, the seat of the old Kings of Northumbria, has a fantastic location right on the seashore. Don’t miss a trip to Lindisfarne, birthplace of English Christianity, or to Hadrian’s Wall, which runs through the county. And for great shopping and nightlife, and a unique atmosphere, head to Newcastle.
